CELSO NETO
Celso Neto is a 19-year-old Brazilian-American racing driver with a promising career in motorsports. Born in Salvador, Brazil, Celso relocated to the United States at age 4 and began karting at 6. His talent quickly shone through as he made impressive strides in American karting, earning accolades on both regional and national levels. Celso's early success paved the way for him to transition to car racing in Brazil. He started in regional touring cars, swiftly achieving podium finishes.
Within a year, he advanced to the prestigious Brazilian Turismo Nacional Championship, competing against fields of over 30 drivers nationwide. During his two-year stint in the series, Celso set records, becoming the youngest driver ever to secure a podium finish and clinching the Mid West Touring Car Cup. His exceptional performance led to the establishment of his own team in the Stock Car Series, the second tier of South America's Stock Car Pro Series. Despite starting with a new team and limited track experience, Celso excelled, earning the title of Best Rookie in all three events he competed in, along with numerous laps led and Top 5 finishes.
Celso's achievements caught the attention of the U.S. racing scene, and he seized the opportunity to return stateside, joining TC America in the TC class. In his debut season, he achieved two podium finishes, marking the team’s firstever podiums in the TC class in only 4 races. The following year, Celso joined Skip Barber Racing, where he established himself as a leading competitor within SRO.
His stellar season included one race win, nine podiums, three pole positions, and a Hard Charger Award. Currently, Celso competes in the TCX class with the Acura Integra Type S TCX. With his new car, he has already notched one race win, five podiums, one fastest lap, and another Hard Charger Award, positioning himself as vice-leader of the championship. As the season progresses, Celso is excited to continue developing the car and contending for more victories.
